Residents can report public nuisances — overgrown lots, junk or trash accumulation, abandoned vehicles, code violations, and similar issues — to the Town of Glasgow.

How to report

Option 1 — In person or by mail.

Pick up an Ordinance Violation Complaint Form at Town Hall, or download and print one:

Fill it out and return it to Town Hall in person or by mail.

Option 2 — By phone.

Call Town Hall at (540) 258-2246 and ask to speak with the Town Manager or the Police Chief.

Option 3 — By email.

Email the Town Manager. Include the address of the property, a description of the issue, and your contact information.

What happens next

The Town reviews each complaint and determines whether a violation exists. If a violation is confirmed, the Town will contact the property owner and follow the enforcement process established by Town ordinance. The complainant will be informed of the resolution.

For emergencies

For an immediate safety threat — for example, a structure fire, downed power line, or active criminal activity — dial 9-1-1, not Town Hall.
