Committees
The Town Council has several standing committees that meet regularly to review matters in their areas of responsibility and make recommendations to the full Council.
Finance Committee
Reviews the Town’s investments quarterly and provides guidelines for sound financial management. Recommends to the Council on matters with long-term financial implications.
Key documents:
Public Works & Utilities Committee
Reviews and makes recommendations to the Town Manager and Town Council on public works matters — street maintenance, street signs, parks, drainage, street lights, water and sewer, use and maintenance of public buildings and grounds, prioritization of public works improvements, service extensions, engineering services, and solid waste.
Public Safety & Emergency Services Committee
Reviews and makes recommendations on public safety matters including police, fire, rescue, emergency management, and ordinance enforcement.
Community Development Committee
The Glasgow Community Development Committee promotes pride and community spirit among residents, enhances the Town’s image, and attracts new residents, businesses, and visitors. The Committee plans, sponsors, and promotes events that improve the social and economic well-being of Glasgow — including the annual Labor Day Weekend Events, the Farmers’ Market, movies in the park, concerts, and Christmas festivities.
CDBG Management Team
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Management Team oversees grant-funded community development projects. CDBG dollars support housing rehabilitation, public facilities, and community infrastructure.
