The Glasgow Police Department serves the Town of Glasgow with patrol, investigation, and community-policing services. The department works in cooperation with the Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police on matters extending beyond town limits.

The Police Chief holds open office hours for residents who want to discuss neighborhood concerns, traffic issues, or community-safety ideas. Call Town Hall at (540) 258-2246 to schedule a time.

Filing a complaint or commendation

Residents who wish to file a formal complaint about, or commendation for, an officer’s conduct may do so in person at Town Hall or by mailing a written statement to:

Emergencies

For all emergencies, dial 9-1-1. For non-emergency reports during business hours, call Town Hall. After hours and on weekends, non-emergency calls should go to the Rockbridge County Communications Center at (540) 463-7328.
